DNA July General Meeting

On Thursday July 16th the Eugene Downtown Neighborhood Association will be holding a question and answer session with Eugene City Manager Jon Ruiz. The City is proposing to increase the spending cap on Eugene’s Urban Renewal District, and adjust the boundary of the district to include the soon to be vacant Peacehealth Clinic on Willamette Street. The cap increase would be used to fund or help fund projects that fall under the following categories:
Local Business Assistance
Lane Community College Downtown Expansion
Arts & Entertainment
Park Blocks Improvements
Veterans Administration Clinic
Urban Design & Street Car Planning
Living & Working Downtown
Civic Campus
At the meeting Mr. Ruiz will be providing more detailed information about the proposed projects, and what urban renewal is and how it works. He will also answer your questions. If you have a question for the City Manager please arrive early to submit it in writing. The meeting will be a moderated question and answer session. The meeting will held Thursday July 16th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Atrium Building located at 99 West 10th Avenue in Downtown Eugene.
