The Downtown Neighborhood Association

Network Charter has several 11th and 12th graders who need a slot for internships this semester, starting now. They are in a course intended to help them with the transition from high school to work/postsecondary options. They develop resumes and work as interns in organizations that use talents such as they ones they have or want to develop. They are available to work TTh mornings during school hours.

One young man is looking for a place where he can help with or at least be around graphic arts. He also has culinary training and (I'm told) has some talent for writing. If you are interested in mentoring this lad or have any other needs for interns, please let me know. I promise to give you the real scoop on any kid we send--we try very hard to make the matches good and avoid sending youngsters with sketchy habits to places where they could have an adverse affect. However, many kids are pretty nifty and you'd enjoy making their acquaintance.
