Eugene Police Department Move

The steering committee had an emergency meeting to respond to this issue. We wanted to solicit comments from the community and then present those comments to the City. We opted to send the email message below to those of you who have given us your email addresses. Feel free to comment here as well.

Given the speed at which this issue has come up, the DNA Steering Committee has opted to solicit community responses by email regarding the proposed move of the Eugene Police Department Headquarters to a building on Country Club Dr. north of the river.

Since we continuously hear from our membership that public safety is a primary concern, we wanted to get you involved. Please send us your comments on this issue by clicking “reply” within 24 hours (by 9 pm, Tuesday). We will compile your comments into a letter to those involved expressing our view before the City Council Meeting on Wednesday.
