The Downtown Neighborhood Association

Charles Hollands would like to make clear that he is in no way affiliated with nor is he endorsing The Trust for Public Land, who spearheads the "Park(ing) Day" event. Nor is he endorsing or promoting the "Park(ing) Day" event.
He does feel, however that such an event does represent a mechanism by which people are coming Downtown, and expressing interest in this beautiful neighborhood, to which we are all so fond.

It's always a fun idea ... I first saw these kinds of actions during the first Earth Day in 1970.
Yay Park(ing) Day!!! The day the parking meter thing was in the RG, there were reporters in front of the library asking people "what they thought." I said I thought there should be NO street parking downtown (the reporters laughed weakly), but I forgot about Park(ing) Day!
